Portuguese driver was third on the Abu Dhabi first testing day
Antonio Felix da Costa truly impressed on his debut behind the wheel of aFormula 1, the biggest stage in sports car in the world. The Portuguese driver was the third fastest of the fourteen drivers who participated in the"rookies" test day in Yaas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, giving unequivocal proof of his talent.
The times made, were, no doubt, impressive, and Antonio Felix da Costafinished with the third best mark, just behind a Red Bull and a McLaren,having beaten teams like Ferrari, Renault, Mercedes and Williams. But moret han anything else, Antonio Felix da Costa impressed because of his evolution throughout the day, the magnificent adaptation to Force Índia F1car, and his quick learning of the circuit, impressing the paddock o fFormula 1.
This is indeed a unique day in the career of this driver, the youngest Portuguese to sit at the controls of a Formula 1 car. Additionally,he has made an absolutely spectacular test session, leaving excellent indications to the team, and being faster than the team's test driver,current leader of the DTM, Paul Di Resta.
At the end of this intense day, Antonio Felix daCosta claimed to be living "the happiest day of my life as a professional driver. I loved the car and the team, I felt very comfortable and welcome from the first minute and throughout the day all of this was reflected. TheForce India team is fantastic, showing great ambition in a competition that includes very strong and well equipped teams. I hope this was just the first of many days in Formula 1.
