It was a chaotic qualifying day in Macau, as Q1 couldn't be completed because of darkness. Q2 will take place tomorrow, at a time still to be determined.
The many incidents in the support races' sessions caused a delay of almost 2 hours in today's programme, but the Q1 session of the WTCC event was also rich in incidents and was red-flagged no less than five times, following contacts with the barriers by Coronel (twice), Priaulx, Kano and Hernández.
The Chevrolet drivers had a trouble-free session and were always in the top positions, finishing the shortened Q1 first (Muller), second (Huff) and fourth (Menu).
