Round 12: Johnson, 28 NovemberIan Bell took his first MSA British Sporting Trial victory of the season amid cold and snowy conditions on the Johnson trial.Andy Wilks led the way until the last hill, on which he hit a marker pole and thus gifted Bell the win. Both were well clear of Roland Uglow, who endured gas freezing problems during the morning. In fourth place was Roger Bricknell, who had auctioned off his passenger ride for Macmillan Cancer Support.Martin Grimwood finished as runner-up in the Intermediate class, while Arthur Carroll again drove well to end the day as the top novice in ninth place, having borrowed his father’s more state-of-the-art car.
