KING'S Lynn have made their first signing since joining the Elite League by agreeing a deal with Danish star Niels-Kristian Iversen.Subject to official paperwork, Iversen will be starting his second spell with the Stars having ridden just three matches for the club at the start of his UK career back in 2001.Team boss Rob Lyon said: "What can I say about Niels that people don't already know, he is ultra-professional, very fast and a great team man."He represents what this club has been all about in the Premier League which has proved to be extremely successful, so this is probably the best signing we could have made to kick-start our team building plans."

SOMERSET have made changes behind the scenes with board chairman Mark Saunders resigning due to a difference of opinion over team selection.He will, however, remain a sponsor of the club, with local solicitor Brendan Steer unanimously voted as the Rebels' new chairman.Debbie Hancock will continue as promoter, assisted by co-manager Garry May, and the club say negotiations are ongoing with several exciting new riders.Steer said: "All focus is now on putting together the finances that will be needed to have a successful season, and the frustration and dissatisfaction of the last two years is now in the past and all thoughts are for the future."
