Dates at top UK and European tracks, alongside some major motorsporting events, are the highlights of the provisional calendars for the 2011 Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain and the newly introduced Formula Ford EuroCup. Formula Ford races will support not only British F3 and British GT at many of its UK meetings next season, but also the European "Formula 3 Grand Prix" - the Zandvoort Masters in the Netherlands - as well as the DTM German touring cars and the FIA GT4 European Cup. Visits to the Belgian circuits of Spa-Francorchamps and Zolder are on the impressive itinerary also. The four-meeting EuroCup is aimed at attracting the best young single-seater talent from the British, Benelux and Scandinavian Formula Ford championships, as well as to introduce Formula Ford to other drivers from around Europe. Each event will feature three races, with the series getting underway alongside the British championship on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit in mid-June. There will be EuroCup events in July at Spa, supporting Euro GT4 and British GT, and at a top-level meeting at Zolder, ahead of the concluding rounds at the Zandvoort Masters in mid-August. The Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain will enjoy an early-April start to its season on the Silverstone National circuit, headlining a BRSCC meeting, before joining up with British F3 and GT for an Easter weekend visit to Oulton Park and a May date on the all-new Snetterton '300' circuit layout. The British championship then links up with the EuroCup at Brands Hatch and Zandvoort before its prestigious September DTM date on the Brands Indy circuit and the F3/GT meetings at Donington Park and Silverstone. There will be three races at each of the eight UK-series events to create a championship fought over 24 scoring rounds. Sam Roach, of championship promoter RacingLine, said: "We are very pleased indeed with the circuits and dates we have secured for both the Dunlop MSA Championship and also for the EuroCup.
