AMT Racing Team has drives available in Comer and Super classes

LEADING KF TEAM MOVES INTO CADET ARENA

AMT Racing Team can now cater for Comer and Super Cadet drivers competing at both club and national level.

The team has announced it is already working with the promising Sam Kirkpatrick, but owner Ashley Todd says he has more berths available.

“After a successful 2010 with Tom Joyner (4th European KF Championship) and Jonathan Walker (2010 Super 1 Super KF vice-Champion), I decided that we ought to be creating a ladder structure within the team. The Cadet categories are a fantastic way in for many youngsters and I think the way we approach our racing will give newcomers into the sport the best possible grounding. From there we can continue to develop a driver’s abilities right the way through their karting career.”

AMT is also branching into Kart Grand Prix and Rotax Max.

“KGP looks an exciting class and I think it will be a popular addition to the Super 1 calendar. It has attracted some big names and could possibly be bigger than KF2. So far the costs are all looking very sensible and for drivers on a budget - but wanting top-class competition - it has to be considered. Rotax continues to be very strong and offers some of the very competition you could wish to find. Just as we can with the MSA classes, drivers racing in each of the Max categories can be accommodated.”

A small, friendly awning offers the benefit of plenty of one-to-one attention and the presence of the hugely respected and experienced Alan ‘Big Al’ Mackay. As Ashley says, “We’ve proven that a small team’s focus can produce big results.”
