Regalia tops Franciacorta timesheets with Team Ghinzani’s Dallara F309 FPT

Regalia was on top form at Franciacorta and at the wheel of a Team Ghinzani’s Dallara F309 FPT he ended the day just a tenths shy of the Italian circuit record, though the track temperatures were very low.

Regalia keeps evolving in Campionato Italiano Formula 3 and impressed again the Italian team in a difficult circuit that was unknown for him. The Spanish-Argentinean driver showed a strong pace during all day, something that pleased himself and Team Ghinzani. “I was just one tenth off Daniel Mancinelli record, but he achieved his time in May, with a good track temperature, and today, sometimes, there was just -2ºC, which prevents the tyres of reaching their optimum temperature range. Besides, there were cars from inferior categories and was hard to find a clean lap”, said the nineteen years old driver, who added: “with used tires I was just half second slower than Mancinelli, who was the Team Ghinzani’s best driver in this year championship”.

“The team was fantastic. We experimented numerous solutions for the Dallara and I felt very comfortable with the car. I’m very happy with the work that we made and I think that the team also, because they congratulate me in the end of the day”, said the Spanish-Argentinean driver.
