BERWICK'S Czech Republic star Adrian Rymel has announced his retirement from the sport.Rymel sustained serious spinal injuries in a crash at Edinburgh last September, and although he is now recovering well in his home country he has confirmed he will not return to racing. He has, however, been granted a Testimonial at Shielfield Park on March 26.Bandits owner John Anderson said: "Adrian has been a magnificent servant to the Bandits for many a long year and it's saddening to think he has had to go into retirement."All of us at the club with him all the very best with every venture he gets involved with in his future and hope he can achieve all the success he wants. We know he's a determined guy, and we've seen how well he's progressed so far and fully expect he will continue in such a positive vein to achieve his new goals."

KEVIN Doolan has declared his return to racing after injury a success. The Australian star saw his 2010 season effectively ended by a broken wrist in July, but he reached the Final of the New Year Classic at Newport last weekend ahead of his move to Premier League newcomers Ipswich this year.Doolan said: "In the Final I did struggle with the track and had already survived hitting one rut before coming off on the third lap when challenging for position."It was good to get back on my bike and get racing although I have been doing a lot of motocross to keep fit over the winter. I am really looking forward to the start of a new season leading a new team at Ipswich. I think we have put together a great bunch of lads and we look strong on paper."
