THE two main racing events in the lead-up to the new season have announced a tie-up.Telford's indoor ice meeting is returning on February 13 after a two year absence, and competing riders have been handed an additional incentive in the evening event, the British Open. The winner of the meeting will be given a Wild Card for the Ben Fund Bonanza at Scunthorpe on March 12, with organisers expecting a record crowd for the third staging of the event. This additional prize was agreed this week between Telford co-promoter Graham Drury and Ben Fund organiser Paul Ackroyd who want to link the two popular winter events - and it means Telford competition will be even keener as riders look to earn the right to appear at Scunthorpe
