In her first season on asphalt last year, she won both the 'driver of the Day' and 'best rookie driver' awards at various races. Now, Jess is delighted to announce her 2011 plans to join the Porsche Carrera Cup GB. "I'm very proud of the opportunity to race the Porsche this season," said Gwynne. "I don’t plan to make up the numbers, so will work hard, learn and not just be the token female! My aim is to be mid-pack by mid-season and then be challenging for points where I can."
As the only female driver expected to take part in the 2011 Carrera Cup GB, Jess has already attracted the attention of some major financial backers. Currently her management team is in advanced discussions with sponsors and Jess hopes to announce more about this prior to the start of the 2011 season.
