BELLE Vue have signed British champion Chris Harris and leading Australianstar Rory Schlein to spearhead their Elite League challenge when the newseason starts in March.Harris, the World No 6, joins the Aces after seven years at Coventry whileSchlein, currently racing in the four-round Australian championship, isreturning to the club where he spent the 2004 season.Harris said: "There had been a lot of rumours about me moving but nothingwas happening because of the ban on transfers. I had got fed up with it allto the point of thinking I'd just ride in Europe and give Britain a miss."But I am English and I want to ride in England. I've always enjoyed comingto Belle Vue, I like the track and get on well with the management so thisis a great move for me."

SIMON Lambert has been named as Stoke's new No.1 as the Potters beginteam-building ahead of their move into the National League.Lambert joins the Loomer Road club on a 9.13 average and finished sixth inlast season's National League averages. He will also be racing for Sheffieldat Premier League level this season.Promoter Dave Tattum said: "Simon is a quality No.1 in the National Leagueand I'm confident he will do a superb job for us here at Stoke."Simon wanted to ride for Stoke and we wanted him, and he is pleased to bejoining us for the new campaign."
