One of Britain’s leading race teams and importers has announced a price reduction on 90% of its spares list for 2011.

“We’ve done this to help our customers beat the VAT increase,” says Strawberry Racing’s Warwick Ringham. “Karting was hardly a cheap hobby before but with the increase in VAT and the cost of living going up we decided to do something that would reduce the impact on our customers’ budgets.”

Consequently, almost the entire OTK range of products has been reduced in price for the whole year. “Even when you add 20% VAT on, the prices of the vast majority of items are significantly less than they were before Christmas” Warwick adds.

As the main UK importers for the entire OTK range – including replacement parts and Tony Kart, Kosmic, Alonso and Exprit chassis – Strawberry is also passing on the price reductions through its extensive dealer network. Warwick advises “Customers need to check that they are being charged the correct, reduced price when purchasing OTK spares and clothing. If they are in any doubt then they should call us on 0114 288 9933 and we’ll advise them.”
