The distributor for Carless Racing Fuels in the UK and the FIA World Rally Championship and for Eni lubricants, Vital Equipment, has today launched a unique prize in British Rallying.
The winning driver and their co-driver in the 'Junior' category of both the 2011 Silverstone Tyres BTRDA Rally Series and MSA Scottish Rally Championships will be the guests of Vital Equipment on this year's RACC Rallye de España, the penultimate round of the 2011 WRC.
Vital Equipment has been distributing the Carless control fuel and providing the re-fuelling service to all cars competing in the FIA World Rally Championship for two years and will continue to do so in 2011.
As it has done in recent years, Vital Equipment will also provide specially-developed Carless motorsport fuels, as well as super unleaded-equivalent to competitors in the BTRDA and the Scottish Rally Championships.
This means that not only do competing crews have access to what is widely regarded as the most effective fuel for all specification of rally cars, they are not faced with the obligation to comply with the regulations for transporting hazardous goods or perform the actual re-fuelling process themselves.
The company will also supply the full range of Eni lubricants on-event, as well as between rallies via its website.
The 'Run to the Sun' competition is open to competitors in the Junior category of both championships, with cars running a competition decal during the season. The driver who wins the class in each championship, along with their co-driver, will take in everything that Rally Spain has to offer on an all-expenses-paid trip, courtesy of Vital Equipment.
The only aspect of the trip the winners need to arrange themselves is getting to the relevant UK airport; Vital Equipment will take care of everything else. This includes return flights to Salou, base of the rally, as well as accommodation, transfers and on-event transport and meals. And it goes without saying that Vital Equipment's experience in the WRC will give the winners unrivalled opportunities to take in the action on the stages.
Famous for its constant 'fiesta' atmosphere, the winners will travel out to Rally Spain on Thursday 20 October 2011, in time to witness the start of the event. They will take in three days of the high-speed asphalt action before returning to the UK after the finish on Sunday 23 October.
Commenting on the announcement, Vital Equipment Managing Director Alistair Roberts said; "We are delighted to be able to offer this prize to the winning junior drivers and their co-drivers from two of the championships where we provide a re-fuelling service.
"Rally Spain is one of the highlights in the WRC calendar, as the stages are superb, the atmosphere is incredible and it doesn't hurt that the weather is usually warm and sunny, especially when it's taken a turn for the worse in the UK!
"Entrants will carry a competition decal during the season and we'll be following the progress of both championships throughout the year and look forward to celebrating with the champions in Spain."
