2011 Tough One Extreme Enduro

"ARE YOU TOUGH ENOUGH?"Six weeks is all there is left until the seventh edition of the UK's original and number one extreme Enduro. The International TOUGH ONE EXTREME Enduro is shaping up to be the best yet, with a stunning new venue and fantastic industry support.

 The Venue...

Back Cowm Quarry in Whitworth nr Rochdale (the nearest postcode is OL12 8BJ) is in great shape with the WOR events team having made several trips up there to plan and design a "proper extreme" Enduro course. The rock strewn Back Cowm is a brilliant piece of land and the event will utilise as much of the natural scope of the venue as well as using the old fashioned ingredients of the previous six years of Tough One action, meaning tyres, logs, cars, lorry trailers and some other interesting obstacles making up the man made sections.

The track is easy to walk around for all spectators and offers superb viewing throughout....Trialsy sections, lead to a moto x loop that leads to more rocks and tricky sections, all cumulating at the end on a small but neat Enduro cross area...An approx five mile loop is planned.

 The Format...

Staying with the tried and tested race schedule of previous years, but adding in some tweaks and improvements, the Tough One '11 will have a 1.5hr Clubman, Veteran, Ladies race to open the days action. This course will be very similar to the big boys track but will have some severe bits removed.

Then there will be a return of the well anticipated Speed Trial race, A one hour race on trials bikes across the gnarly terrain giving the spectators a great viewing spectacle as the "feet up" boys and girls race for the title of 2011 Tough One Speed Trial victor.

Then on to the main attraction, starting at 1pm and running for 3hrs! A true test of man, machine and God's tough earth will see the best extreme Enduro riders from all across the world take on this angry mountain based quarry and try to defeat it.

The main event has been extended to 3hrs from 2hrs to offer not only the rider a tougher time but the spectators a very full day of action indeed, five and half hours of competition!

Remember this is meant to Extreme!! And 3hrs will certainly push the best riders anywhere in the World to the brink of destruction!

 The Entertainment Factor. . .

The "Voice of Motorcycling!" - Mr Jack Burnicle is the host for the day and no one holds or informs the crowd better than the famous Sky sports TV Presenter. Jack is back at the Tough One to interview the riders and present the event to the World. The event will have a full camera crew there from Sky Sports and a very special programme will be made for TV across the globe, which will be shown at a later date, this adds to the excitement most defiantly.

 The Event Partners. .

Adding to the whole feel of the event is the involvement and event partnership of REDBULL. The World Famous energy drink will be supporting the event with some great media excitement, the brilliant REDBULL DJ on board the roving REDBULL music truck will have awesome music bouncing out around the quarry.

But the main thing is that the famous TOUGH ONE EXTREME will now finish under the famous REDBULL Arch, a great photo opportunity for all of the riders that are tough enough to finish.

During the race there will also be a REDBULL special section, one that will be exciting and memorable with more details on that very soon.

KTM UK and HUSABERG UK are also on board as event partners and will be at the venue with all the latest 2011 bikes on show and bigbrand coverage of the event as a whole.

GAS GAS UK are the partners of the Speed Trial and will also have 2011 Gassers on show.
