JON Armstrong is back with Dudley in the National League - just a week after being told he wasn't in the club's plans!Armstrong is now fully fit after his 2010 season was curtailed by a broken arm, and he has turned down late interest from elsewhere to pledge his future to the Heathens.He said: "This was always where I wanted to be and I was devastated last week when I was told I wouldn't be coming back."But the club have spoken to Newport, who own my contract, and this week I came back into contention and I finally got the nod. I can't tell you how good it feels and I feel like I can ride at this level for another few years."

TONY Atkin is returning to National League newcomers Stoke this season on a full transfer from Newport.The experienced Atkin has also been named as the Potters' captain, with promoter Dave Tattum delighted to bring him back to the club.Tattum said: "Tony is a rider who still has the will to win and wants to win trophies. He has a lot of knowledge both on and off the track, and has a lot of experience that he is able to pass on to the younger members of the side."Tony has always been a good team leader and is a very unselfish rider on the track and will always attempt to help his partner if at all possible, and after discussions he will also be captain of the side."
