WORKINGTON promoter Keith Denham says Charles Wright's experience was a crucial factor in him receiving the nod to be the Comets' No.7 this season.Wright has rejoined the Derwent Park club after a stint with Redcar in 2010 which was curtailed by injury, having previously won honours with Workington in 2008.Denham said: "I picked him for his experience, his knowledge of the Workington track, and the fact that his brother is here as well."He is desperate to ride for us and does not want to let anybody down. I have talked to him and he wants to show the supporters that he can do a job."

TELFORD bosses have reported strong ticket sales for this Sunday's World Indoor Ice events. The two meetings, including the prestigious British Open Championship in the evening, are back on the calendar for the first time since 2008 following redevelopment work at the ice rink.Co-promoter Graham Drury said: "We have hand-picked the line-up because we want riders who are all good on the ice. You could have some of the top riders from the Grand Prix and yet they might not be up to much on the ice at Telford, we have a field packed full of quality and I am sure the entertainment value will be excellent."And the two-year absence has certainly made the fans want it back because the ticket sales have been very good so far."
