REIGNING World Champion Tomasz Gollob will be one of the headlineattractions in Mark Loram's Farewell meeting at Poole on March 30.The Polish superstar has agreed to make a rare UK appearance in honour ofGreat Britain's last World Champion - and Jason Crump, Scott Nicholls,Freddie Lindgren and Chris Harris are also confirmed for the event.Loram said: "I'm obviously very pleased Tomasz has agreed to ride, it's abit of a coup."I had spoken to him about it last year and he was very fair, he said he'dget back to me and he confirmed on Sunday he would ride. It's comingtogether really well, and it should be some night."

LAKESIDE have announced plans for a bumper Good Friday of racing - includingElite League action and the first appearance of the Hackney Hawks in theNational League.The Hammers will stage a local derby in the top-flight against Eastbourne at1pm on April 22 with the newly-launched Hawks taking to the track for thefirst time immediately afterwards.Lakeside promoter Jon Cook said: "The Good Friday double header is a greatway to start the Hackney Hawks league season and it will still give fansmore than enough time to enjoy both meetings before heading south to theArlington Stadium for the evening return match between the Hammers and theEagles."I am sure our fans will want to stay on and cheer both Shane Hazelden andMarc Owen in Hawks colours, and having reached a training agreement withEastbourne their fans can also look forward to seeing their young prospectBrandon Freemantle in action for Hackney."

DUDLEY favourite Tom Perry has finalised his new deal to ride for the clubfor a second successive season.Perry, 17, was rider-of-the-year last season, his first as a speedway riderafter making a sensational switch from Grass track racing, and formerCradley riders Mark Robinson and Anthony Boyd have stepped in to assist himwith transport.Said Perry: "I'm determined to make a career out of Speedway and feel I madea good, solid start last season."People tell me I need to improve my starting which is fair enough, but Idon't think the management want me to because they like the entertainmentfactor when I have to race from the back!"
