Porsche Carrera Cup GB awards student placement
The Porsche Carrera Cup GB will again support motorsport students by offering a work experience place within the championship organisation for the 2011 season.Alistair Humphrys, a final year student of mechanical engineering at Loughborough University, will join the championship’s parts and technical team for the 2011 race weekends, having previously completed a year’s internship with Porsche AG in Germany. In June this year, Alistair will complete his five-year course and hopes to secure a full time position in motorsport.The 23 year-old student, who comes from Towcester near Silverstone, will work with the engineering team that oversees all technical aspects of the Carrera Cup GB. “I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to work with Porsche once again and get involved with the Carrera Cup GB,” said Humphrys. “It’s a great chance to gain more experience of the racing industry.”
