Round 1: Arnold Clark Thistle Hotel Snowman Rally, 19 February

David Bogie and his co-driver Kevin Rae began their MSA Scottish Rally Championship title defence with victory on the season-opening Arnold Clark Thistle Hotel Snowman Rally.

The pair won three of the five forest stages north of Inverness in their Mitsubishi Evo 9 to finish 30 seconds clear of runners-up Euan Thorburn and Paul Beaton, also in an Evo 9. Last year's winners, Jock Armstrong and Kirsty Riddick, secured the final podium spot a further three seconds adrift in their Subaru Impreza.

Meanwhile television presenter and former works driver Robbie Head made his much anticipated return to competition for the first time since 2006. Despite a burst rear brake-pipe on the penultimate stage, the Lanark star finished seventh overall in his Evo 9.
