POOLE promoter Matt Ford has confirmed the signing of experienced Pole Rafal Dobrucki, and also Somerset's Christian Hefenbrock as a doubling-up rider.Dobrucki has been linked with the Pirates throughout the winter and joins on a 5.46 average after ex-Bournemouth racer Danny Warwick agreed to step in as his mechanic.Hefenbrock, meanwhile, will share a reserve position with local youngster Kyle Newman, with Ford indicating that the German will be the senior rider in that role.Ford said: "I have been a long time admirer of Rafal's ability and I really believe that he will come in and settle quickly with us. He has the ability to vastly improve on that starting figure and I again re-iterate that he is committed to the full season. You have to say Christian is a real steal on that figure (3.23) and I see him as being a very influential reserve."

EASTBOURNE have named talented Australian youngster Taylor Poole as their official No.8 for the forthcoming Elite League campaign.18-year-old Poole, who rode for Stoke last season, has switched to Ipswich in the Premier League and is looking forward to also being part of a squad in the top flight.Eagles co-promoter Mike Bellerby said: "Taylor is an exciting Aussie prospect and I'm sure he will fit in well with our team."He's ambitious and wants to ride for the Eagles. We look forward to seeing him in action."

STOKE have announced the signing of 17-year-old James Sarjeant as they continue preparations for their entry into the National League this season.Sarjeant joins the Potters on a 3.91 average having lined up for both Dudley and Bournemouth last year, and promoter Dave Tattum believes he should improve on that figure in 2011.Tattum said: "James is an up and coming talent with plenty of enthusiasm and he is determined to succeed. I really do feel he can improve his average in the coming season."The side is coming together now and I'm hopeful we will be in a position to complete the line-up soon. I feel we are getting the right balance in the team and I'm hopeful that we can have a good year."
