BRDC Rising Star Adrian Quaife-Hobbs will contest the 2011 GP3 series with Marussia Manor Racing, with whom he raced with last season. Twenty year-old Quaife-Hobbs tested successfully with GP2 and WSR teams during the close season before making the decision to stay with John Booths team for a second year.
Adrian Quaife-Hobbs quote on his return.“It’s great to be back with the team for a second year. We’ve got more pre-season testing this year which will help to prepare me. Another advantage is that we all know each other much better now, and I’m sure it will help us a great deal. This puts us in a stronger position compared to last season. I think we have a good opportunity to fight at the front. Our pace was strong last year and I’m sure we are capable of carrying it into the new season.”
John Booth, Team Principal. “It’s going to be another interesting season in GP3. 2011 looks promising and I’m sure we can be up there with the top teams . Adrian did a fantastic job last year, and I’m sure he is ready to reveal more of his potential”. Pre-season testing begins next at Paul Ricard, although not on the race calendar will give the drivers, engineers and team time to settle in, before the next test at Silverstone on the 29th March for three days.
