Runaway Ginetta Junior Points Leader Morris Relishing Croft Challenge‏‏

Seb Morris, winner of seven of the eight Ginetta Junior Championship races to have been contested so far in 2011, aims to increase his already dominant points lead when the ninth and 10th rounds of the season take place at Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire next weekend, 18th/19th June.

Earning two more victories at his local track, Oulton Park Island Circuit, last time out, the 15-year-old sensation is an incredible 88 points clear at the top of the driver standings. Seb's record so far during only his second full season of car racing is nothing short of remarkable - on top of his seven wins he has secured five pole position starts and four fastest race laps, including three lap records. Croft's 2.25-mile track always provides spectacular action and will offer a much different challenge to that offered by Oulton Park last weekend.

Largely flat with no undulation, the North East's top motor racing venue provides a fantastic blend of high-speed corners and slower, technical sections. Although holding a significant lead in the championship, Marford-based Seb knows there is no time at all to rest on his laurels. With 35 points on offer for a win, and an additional bonus point for pole position and fastest race lap respectively, the championship picture could change dramatically at any given moment. Seb is focused on one thing though, increasing his advantage yet further at Croft.

"It's a completely different circuit to Oulton but we'll try our best as ever and work as hard as we possibly can to try and qualify on pole position and fight for two more wins", said the Liberty Properties Plc and Legat Owen-sponsored racer. "You never know what's going to happen but hopefully we'll hook it all up again and go well. I really like Croft, it's got a good mix of slow and fast corners and I'm really looking forward to the challenge. As always I'll be racing to win and I'm determined to try and keep increasing my lead in the points."

Another factor at Croft could, of course, be the weather but inclement conditions at Oulton Park proved no barrier to Seb's high level of performance. The Hillspeed driver - who away from the track attends The King's School, Chester - has shown phenomenal pace in the wet and dry so whatever the weekend throws at him, he'll be ready.  Following the usual pair of pre-event test sessions on Friday, 17th June, a short 15-minute free practice will take place on Saturday, 18th June, at 10.55 with qualifying for rounds nine and 10 set to follow at 14.40.

Both races, which will take place at 13.20 and 16.40 on Sunday, 19th June, are expected to be shown live on Freeview, digital satellite and cable channel ITV4, on the ITV4 HD channel and through online streaming at itv.com/touringcars
