Long-serving speedway sponsors Dansk Metal have extended their title sponsorship of the FIM Danish Speedway Grand Prix in Copenhagen for further year.
The event, which takes place at the famous PARKEN Stadium, will continue to be known as the FIM Dansk Metal Danish Speedway Grand Prix. Dansk Metal has been involved with the World Championship series since 2007 as well as serving as sponsors to riders.
Paul Bellamy, managing director of SGP series rights holders BSI Speedway, is pleased to have Dansk Metal extending their partnership. He said: "Dansk Metal have been a valued supporter of the series for five years and we are delighted to sign an extension to the current agreement. The Grand Prix in PARKEN is one of our flag ship events and to be associated with a company such as Dansk Metal demonstrates the profile of speedway and its continued growth in Denmark."
Dansk Metal President Thorkild E Jensen said: "Speedway is a core asset of our sponsorship portfolio, the synergy between our business and its members is an excellent fit with speedway in Denmark. The event gives us a fantastic opportunity to represent our brand but also lets us offer something back to our members for their support."
