MOTOR racing enthusiasts will have the opportunity to sample British club racing at its best when the British Sports Car Club (BRSCC) serves up a second helping of non-stop action at Rockingham next month (August).
The BRSCC’s Clubman Race Weekend on August 20/21 offers a variety of racing marques to entertain fans and this meeting will be no different with action from tin-top saloons, single-seaters and the ever-popular Mini.
Funsize racing from the Mighty Mini and the Super Mighty Mini always guarantee to unite motor racing fans across the generations as the miniature racers whiz around the technical 1.94 mile International Super Sportscar Circuit.
Joining them will be the Dunlop TVR Challenge and the Euro Saloons, which features tin-tops from all the main manufacturers. There will also be guest appearances from the MR2 Challenge, Nippon Challenge and Intermarque and Tigers.
The Pickup Truck Championship returns to Rockingham for their second appearance of the season providing high-octane entertainment throughout the weekend with qualifying action and two further rounds of exhilarating, full-throttle racing.
The Formula Jedi Championship completes the bill. This series sees young drivers go head-to-head in 1000cc Suzuki motorcycle engine single-seaters capable of reaching speeds of more than 130mph.
Rockingham Director, Charlotte Orton, said: “The BRSCC offers something for everyone, and with adult admission tickets for as little as £8, this is a fantastic opportunity for the whole family to enjoy some of the best of British club racing and share a great day out.”
During each meeting there will be plenty of opportunity to get close to the racing action with an open paddock and free grandstand seats for everyone.
With children aged 15 and under getting in FREE and adult admission tickets frozen at 2008 prices, families are guaranteed the chance to enjoy a whole day of quality British Club racing at a price they can afford.
