JRM continues development of Nissan NISMO GT-R GT3 with British GT entry

As part of its ongoing extensive test and development programme for the new Nissan NISMO GT-R GT3, JRM has today confirmed that it will enter the car in round six of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship, which takes place this weekend at Donington Park.  The event marks the car's race debut in the UK and, even though it is still under development, the event represents its second competitive outing. The first was at Magny-Cours last month, where the GT-R ran faultlessly throughout the three-hour Blancpain Endurance Series race and crossed the line in eighth place. "Entering a round of the British GT Championship with the GT3 car is the next stage of our test and development plan", said JRM Managing Director Andy Barnes. "For this event we will be using two different drivers: Nick Catsburg and Alex Buncombe. And, as with the race at Magny-Cours, we are focused on gathering as much data as we can and covering as many miles as possible, rather than setting our sights on a high-place finish." A grid of 27 GT cars of various makes is anticipated for the three-hour race at Donington, which starts at 15.50 on Sunday (25th September).
