Team Jota, a leading British team in last season's SR2 FIA SportscarChampionship, has today announced it will be entering this year's Le Mansrace in June 2004. The team recently purchased a Zytek 04S sportscar andwill be racing in the new Le Mans Endurance Series (LMES) 2004, which beginsin early May at Monza.
Operating as a sporting venture since 1998 under the guidance of its twoowner/drivers John Stack and Sam Hignett, the newly created LMES presents agreat opportunity for Team Jota to step up to a new level. Stack andHignett will be joined by Italian sportscar ace Gianni Collini for the four1000 kilometre races of the LMES and Le Mans.
Technology partners QinetiQ, one of Europe's largest science and technologysolutions providers, offer the team technical consultancy and theimplementation of some of its core automotive technologies, includingQinetiQ's GPS system, aerodynamics and composite components. QinetiQ willalso trial new automotive technologies through Team Jota, whose car liverywill display bold QinetiQ branding.
Team Jota driver and one of the top five European Sportscar Drivers of 2002,Sam Hignett, commented; "The team has gone from strength to strength overthe past two seasons and we're very excited to be driving in the LMES and atLe Mans."

Team Jota will participate in five races this season:
