Former Radical racer, Robert Oldershaw Jr will challenge for the 2004 Dunlop National Supersports Championship at the wheel of a new Juno SS2. Having tested all of the front running marques from the 2003 championship, Oldershaw has chosen the Blackpool based for his 2004 title bid.
The SS2 (featured extensively in the latest issue of Racecar Engineering) was an instant success when Chris Ward took a convincing double win at Donington last August.
The Juno team is delighted with the sale. Team boss Ewan Baldry said: "It's fantastic to have Robert in a Juno for the coming season. He proved how quick he is by getting the most out of the Radical 1300 and coming third in the championship. He now has the car to win it outright."
Oldershaw, the 2003 SP2 champion, is clearly looking forward to the start of season. "I feel I drove well last season but was never really in a position to compete with the front running SP1 cars," said Robert. "The extra power and grip of the Juno SS2, gives me the confidence to believe that I will be a serious contender this season."
