Robby Gordon Joins Spirit of Daytona Racing for Rolex 24 At Daytona

Spirit of Daytona Racing announcedthat NASCAR driver Robby Gordon will drive for the team in the Rolex 24 AtDaytona. Gordon joins owner/driver Doug Goad and Stephan Gregoire to createan experienced driver lineup for the grueling 24-hour event.

Gordon is no stranger to the Rolex 24 At Daytona, having competed in severalraces and winning in class four times with Roush Racing. In 2002, Gordonfinished second overall in the prototype class.

"To have a driver of Robby's caliber join our team for the Rolex 24 is veryexciting," said Spirit of Daytona Racing owner/driver Doug Goad. "Robby is aworld-class road racer and will compliment our driver lineup very well togive us a great chance at overall victory."

"I am very excited to compete in the Rolex 24 Hours At Daytona again," saidGordon. "I have had success there in the past, and I am motivated to win theevent overall, and the Crawford Daytona Prototype with the Pontiac engineprovides the opportunity to do well."

"The level of competition entered in this year's Rolex 24 is fierce, and wefelt that we needed very experienced and capable drivers to have a chance atoverall victory," said co-owner/team manager Troy Flis.
