With over a 100 entries for the Bangalore round, work was cut out for the organizers, presenters, and all involved in the success of the event. Qualifying and heats for the participants started from Thursday all boiling down to the grand finale.

Kicking off the evening was superstar Narain Karthikeyan driving the all-new Rotax kart built on an Arrows chassis. Also for this event the crowds that came in got to witness the awesome power of the international Rotax Karts specially flown in for this event. After five venues visited all over the country it was now time for the sixth and penultimate round of the National Karting Championship.

The senior’s first semi finals witnessed Fazal Khan dominating the rest of the field with Aditya Patel coming in second. The second semi–finals for this category showcased the thrills and spills that go into motor racing. From the first lap onwards the racing was competitive with sparks and bodyworks flying all over the awesomely designed karting track in Bangalore. It was third place lad Preetham Munniyappa who managed ousting karting and racing veteran Rayomand Banajee from his top spot by finishing ahead of Rayomand.

Heading straight into the first finals of the day – the Ladies Class Finals saw for the second consecutive year Vyedehi Kadur from Bangalore taking top honors. Finishing behind her was pole position qualifier Keerthi Chinnappa followed closely by Samyuktha V in third.

In the Junior Class, the bright youngster who masterfully managed to ace the art of race and pace turned out to be Rahul Sharan. Qualifying in pole position he held the race to the finish followed by Akshay Patel in second and K.V. Dheeraj in third. Rahul and Akshay will now go on to battle it out with the best of their set at the national level in the finals in February this year.
