The Porsche marque will be celebrated in style at Brands Hatch over the Bank Holiday weekend of 28-30 August. The inaugural Porsche Festival will include an extensive programme of racing for Porsches as well as many off-track attractions.
The whole event is being organised by the Porsche Club GB, with the race action in the hands of the BRSCC. As well as double-header rounds of the Michelin Porsche Club Championship and Michelin Porsche Open Series, the weekend will include races for the Porsche 924 Championship and a round of the Michelin Porsche Club Speed Championship.
The on-track action will start on Friday, 27 August, with a Porsche Club GB track day for members. Then, Saturday is given over to a day of testing ahead of the race weekend. Sunday will be split between qualifying and racing, with a full programme of racing on Monday. Throughout the weekend, static and moving displays, concours, passenger rides, funfairs and hot air balloons will all add to the atmosphere.
For the Michelin Porsche Club Speed Championship, the weekend will mark a rare opportunity to compete on the famous Indy circuit at Brands. Several notable Porsche racers are already considering taking part in the sprint as well as racing during the weekend.
