Paston Racing has confirmed Formula Renault UK Championship regular Daniel Welch (Fleet, Hampshire) as its third driver for the coming season to line-up alongside teenage ace Craig Dolby (Melton Mowbray) and Venezuelan star Rodolfo Gonzalez (Attleborough, Norfolk).

Daniel contested 13 rounds of the 2003 Formula Renault UK Championship last season with family-run Welch Motorsport and the 21-year old secured a career-best sixth position during round 16 at Oulton Park in Cheshire.

Welch was also named ELF/Atol Driver of the Day on two occasions last year, once at Snetterton, Norfolk, during the 11th round of the season and again for his top-six drive at Oulton Park. North Walsham-based Paston hopes to officially announce its fourth driver very shortly.
