Radical invitation from Supersports

Owners of Radical sportscars are being invited to compete in the 2004 Dunlop National Supersports Championship. As in 2003, the dedicated Supersports SP3 class has been set aside for 1300cc Radical Prosports, but the National Supersports Association is keen to welcome more Radical racers.

"As well as owners of Prosports, we can offer some excellent value racing to owners of SR3s and SR4s within our SP2 Invitation class," reckons NSA chairman Mike Swinnerton. "We have no big up-front registration fees and we can offer them two qualifying sessions and two 50km races on each of seven weekends."

As an added incentive to Prosport owners, the class champion at the end of the 2004 season will receive a test in a works-tended SP1 class Supersports car. Radical racer Neil Huggins has already confirmed his intention to defend his SP3 title in 2004.

The classes within the Dunlop National Supersports Championship are:

SP1 – National Supersports cars with 240bhp engines

SP2 – Invitation class for 2-litre sports-racing cars

SP3 – 1300cc Radical Prosports
