Pegley and Harvey plan new Supersports assault

Sussex-based friends and neighbours David Pegley and Robin Harvey are gearing up for a fresh assault on the Dunlop National Supersports Championship in 2004.

Pegley, the overall 2002 champion, will return in his Nemesis RME99 in a bid to bounce back after a spate of mechanical dramas during 2003. Apart from a major winter rebuild, Pegley has also developed new front and rear bodywork in a bid to further improve the aerodynamics of the car. Moulds are currently being made and Pegley hopes to have the new bodywork in time for the opening races of the season at Rockingham in early April.

Harvey, the 1985 Castle Combe GT champion, is intending to race the Juno SS1 which is being rebuilt after a major accident at Silverstone early last season. Harvey has now bought the car and aims to have it ready early in the season in full Supersports SP1 class specification. If the Juno is not ready for the start of the season, Harvey is likely to continue racing Pegley's Lola T86/90 in the interim.
