Malaysia's first-ever Formula 1 driver, Alex Yoong, has reached an agreement with Asia's number one sattelite sports broadcaster, ESPN-STAR, to host a series of Formula One Preview and Review shows for the 18-race calendar of the 2004 FIA Formula One World Championship. Yoong revealed the arrangement in Kuala Lumpur yesterday saying, "TV broadcasting work offers up a whole bunch of new challenges, and I am looking forward to seeing how this whole project works out. With my Formula One experience, I hope to bring a new dimension to the viewers about what is the greatest show on earth. It is great to be associated with ESPN-STAR which has the longest experience of bringing the F1 shows to the Asian audience." "The deal also allows me to record the programmes from wherever I may be, which is important as I will still be racing this year," added Yoong. Yoong will be heading to ESPN-STAR's studios later this month to record the preview for the opening round, the Australian Grand Prix, which will kick off the new season in Melbourne on March 07, 2004. In conclusion, Yoong invites all Formula 1 fans to tune in to ESPN-STAR for the F1 Preview and Review Shows as well as the live broadcasts of all 18 races and to email him at getinfo@alexyoong.com
