Michael Jepsen Jensen To Line Up At PARKEN‏

FIM Speedway Under-21 world champion Michael Jepsen Jensen (MJJ) hopes to go from Vojens victor to king of Copenhagen when he lines up in the Moldow Danish FIM Speedway Grand Prix at PARKEN on June 29.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a breathtaking 2012 season. He will never forget the night he won the Nordic SGP at Vojens on September 22 with a breathtaking last-lap pass of triple world champion Nicki Pedersen in the final on the circuit where he started his speedway career.

Jepsen Jensen, who rides in the famous No.16 race jacket once again, then travelled to Argentine venue Bahia Blanca in November, where he saw off a huge challenge by Polish starlet Maciej Janowski to win the FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship.

The Esbjerg-born racer was part of the Danish team which lifted the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup at Malilla last July, along with SGP regulars Pedersen and Niels-Kristian Iversen, who will line up against him at PARKEN.

MJJ made his Grand Prix debut in Copenhagen on June 9 last year, where he fell two points short of the semi-final cut on seven. But he will be determined to do better this time around, particularly as this is the only SGP event to be staged on Danish soil this season.

Jepsen Jensen, who rides for Czestochowa in Poland, Swedish giants Dackarna and Danish club Grindsted, is joined at PARKEN by track reserves Peter Kildemand and Kenni Larsen.

Kildemand, who wears race jacket No.17, has enjoyed a stunning start to the season with Swedish team Vargarna, British champions Swindon, Fjelsted in Denmark and Polish First Division side Lodz. He also finished second in the opening round of the Danish Championship Final at Slangerup on May 24.

His Lodz colleague Larsen lines up at No.18 and has also started 2013 well, scoring nicely for British outfit Peterborough, Swedish side Smederna and Danish top flight newcomers Munkebo.

The referee at PARKEN is Great Britains Craig Ackroyd.
