Once again, my sincere apologies to everyone for tonight's abandonment and the disappointment and inconvenience this must have caused each and every one of you, I am sorry that, as a club, we have let you all down tonight. In order to clarify the situation regarding the use of the re-admission tickets issued in respect of this evening's match, these are valid for any Somerset Rebels home match either this or next season, and although those in attendance tonight did see one heat of racing, and many fans paid reduced entry tonight as part of our Sky TV Meeting incentive, as a small gesture of goodwill, the re-admission tickets issued from tonight's match will allow fans free entry against our normal adult and concession admission prices. Both personally and on behalf of the club I feel that we have let down the supporters who came along tonight for what all the makings of an exciting night of racing and I cannot apologise enough to those fans who were left disappointed at tonight's abandonment.Despite the extensive track subsequently undertaken, it was felt that the situation was not going to improve sufficiently for racing to continue, leaving us with no alternative but to abandon the meeting. The track preparation leading up to the meeting had been based on the Met Office weather forecast that had indicated we would be getting a hot, sunny, afternoon and evening, but contrary to the forecast we experienced unexpected cloud cover which meant that the water that had been laid down on the track did not evaporate as anticipated, which left the track with a wetter than usual surface. She said: First and foremost I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to everyone who was at the Oaktree Arena tonight for the situation that caused the meeting to be abandoned after just one heat had been completed of our KO Cup second leg tie against Workington.SOMERSET promoter Debbie Hancock has issued a full apology to supporters following the abandonment of Tuesdays meeting at the Oaktree Arena.

Thomas is massively keen to come back, and he says the shoulder is now stronger than it was before the accident, so were putting him in against the Tigers. Its a massive plus to have him back in the team.Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: When the medics at Redcar were looking at David, they suspected there was a break in his collarbone. It turned out to be a dislocated shoulder instead.   That, in itself, can be quite nasty. However, David not only rode in the World Longtrack on Saturday, but he also scored five points against World Class opposition.Howes collarbone injury turned out to be a dislocation rather than a break, whilst Jorgensen is back just a month after suffering a broken shoulder in a crash in Denmark.SCUNTHORPE have been boosted by the returns from injury of both David Howe and Thomas Jorgensen for their local derby clashes with Sheffield this week.

The prospect of Ben Barker and Mikkel Bech clashing on our track is mouth-wateringI can only suggest to our patrons to get here sharp, in case they miss any of the action.Berwick co-owner John Anderson said: Watching Ben putting our guys to the sword while we nonetheless did enough to beat his Ipswich team was magical. As soon as we knew Edward had to go off on his quest to reach the Grand Prix, there was only one name on our minds.Kennett is racing in a Grand Prix qualifier so the Bandits have called on Barker, who recently scored an unstoppable maximum at Shielfield Park for his regular club Ipswich.BERWICK have moved quickly to book in-form Ben Barker to guest for the unavailable Edward Kennett in their Premier League clash with Plymouth on Saturday.

We come into this fixture off the back of a home and away victory over League Champions Scunthorpe in the KO Cup and looking at the current spot in the league table we intend to sustain a top three status.Duffill said: The boys are on good form plus have covered for the absence of Matej Kus through injury in a more than satisfactory manner. Kus suffered the injury whilst racing for his country in a Test Match against Poland, although Bears manager Jitendra Duffill believes his play-off chasing side can overcome the setback with the rider-replacement facility against Berwick on Thursday.REDCAR will be without Czech Republic international Matej Kus for up to five weeks after he suffered a broken shoulder-blade in a crash last week.

We were keen to get James involved in the Storm but he has been busy finishing his exams at school, so we were happy to wait for that and then offer him a team place.Coventry co-boss Blayne Scroggins said: It was not an easy call, but one that had to be made. There were at least three clubs chasing Olly and at the end of the day it is all about what is the right thing to do for the team.Greenwood has been out of action for two months after suffering a broken wrist, and the Storm have released Brendan Johnson to make way for his comebackwhilst filling their vacant reserve berth with 16-year-old grasstrack star James Shanes.OLIVER Greenwood is to return from injury for Coventry Storm this weekend as part of a double change for the National League side.
