Round 4: Myherin, 15-16 September
Dan Lofthouse took his fourth win of the year at Myherin to secure his first MSA British Cross Country Championship title.
Lofthouse was quickest on the first run and extended his lead throughout the day as others encountered problems; Andi Skelley retired with clutch problems, Tim Dilworth suffered a broken propshaft, Ryan Cooke rolled his Milner and Tom Hipkiss retired on the fifth run.
Lofthouse was troublefree through day two’s four runs to take a clear victory. “It’s been a great event and a phenomenal course,” he said. “I’m over the moon to win the championship; it’s been a long time coming with three runners up spots and a third in recent year.”
