Round 13: Brands Hatch, 15 September
Terry Holmes took a comfortable victory in a thrilling run-off at Brands Hatch as the championship ventured south to the SEMSEC-run event for the first time.
Having installed a sequential gearbox since his last event in the Lola Judd, the ‘Chichester Chippy’s’ times were greatly improved since his last visit to the Kentish circuit.
Mark Smith was on fine form in his two-litre Reynard but Holmes pushed hard to maintain his advantage throughout. Smith’s co-driver. Craig Sampson, was third for his best finish of the season.
