Endurance racing takes over Motors TV this weekend when the bulk of the action will come from the stunning Circuit of the Americas facility near Austin, Texas. Topping the bill is round five of the FIA World Endurance Championship where the #1 Audi Sport trio of Benoit Treluyer, Andre Lotterer and Marcel Fassler will be gunning for a repeat of the victory they scored last time out in Brazil. Nothing but the top step of the podium will do as the reigning champions look to haul in their team-mates Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish and Loic Duval in the standings. The American Le Mans Series joins the WEC in Texas for the eighth event of its final season before merging with Grand-Am. The Muscle Milk Pickett Racing squad have already sewn up the LMP1 crown, so for the best of the competitive action look to the GT class where the works Corvette squad currently head a tight battle for supremacy. Switching continents, we head to Europe for another dose of long-distance action. Sunday will witness the season-closing Blancpain Endurance Series event at Germany's Nürburgring, where the annual 1000kms celebrates is 60th anniversary. On the championship front just three points separate the Kessel-Ferrari, HTP-Mercedes and Marc VDS-BMW line-ups, setting up an epic title showdown on the German Grand Prix circuit.It's not just long-distance sportscar racing this weekend.
