Vittorio Ghirelli, Auto GP is a good preparation for GP2

Vittorio Ghirelli (Super Nova International) has become the first champion of the 2013 Auto GP season, winning the Under 21 standings. Vittorio, who is also fighting for the overall crown, established his name at the top of the charts from the start, but it was consistency to pay off for him in the end. The nine podium finishes achieved so far made the difference compared to his U21 rival Robert Visoiu (Ghinzani Motorsport), who held the early lead in standings after Monza.Congrats on winning the Under 21 championship with two races to spare. Are you satisfied with this result?"Winning the U21 title with two races to go is a great satisfaction for me. It means that I achieved better results compared to the others with similar age and experience".What's your goal for Brno as you also battle for the overall win?“My goal for Brno is to score as many points as possible between Race 1 and 2. That maximizes the chances to seal the title”.

How useful your Auto GP experience has been in your maiden GP2 run?“The Auto GP car prepared me well for GP2. It's a car with lots of horsepower and less downforce compared to GP2, so you lear how to manage the power and it's also challenging from a physical point of view”.
