Trident Racing GP2 Series Singapore Review

Trident Racing managed to end their GP2 Series trip at Singapore with Nathanael Berthon into the top-10 and Gianmarco Raimondo finishing in 22nd. The good results scored are even more positive considering the low starting spot of both, a key element between the streets of Marina Bay.

Berthon drove an aggressive race as he pushed hard and completed several passes despite the tire wear due to the torrid heat. Raimondo achieved the double goal of ending the race with no mistakes and surviving the weather conditions without a problem. It's been a positive day for the Italian - Canadian who ended both runs with no mistakes.

After racing at Singapore, the GP2 teams and drivers are already starting to prepare for the last round of the season at Abu Dhabi. The action will resume on November 1st to 3rd at the Yas Marina track.Nathanael Berthon "At the start I had some clutch issues and paid the price of the resulting wheelspin. I was lucky to keep my engine running, and after passing the first corner I set a good pace. The race for me was made of quick laps to catch up with my rivals and slower ones to cool the tires. Honestly I don't think I could have done a better job considering that I started from the back of thr pack".

Gianmarco Raimondo"I knew it would have been a tough weekend and for this reason I'm happy to have ended both races with no major issues. I debuted on one of the toughest occasions available but in the end when the right occasion comes you have to take it. I improved my performance throughout the weekend and even managed to match the pace of my team-mate for some time. Then I made a small mistake in balancing the brakes and that caused the rear tires to overheat, an issue that proved costly in the final few laps. I'm happy overall though and I hope this will be just the start for a full time commitment."
