Edgar's Hyundai MSA British Cadet Kart Championship

Round 5: PF International, 21-22 September

William Pettitt clocked up another two wins in the penultimate round at PFI to beat the main championship contenders of Alex Quinn and Oliver York.

In the first final Pettitt resisted the challenges from Tom Wood and Quinn and managed to break away at the end. In the second Pettitt was quick to pass Wood at the first turns; he then held onto the lead, chased by Quinn.

“Tom got a bit of a jump start but I got on the inside of Kiern Jewiss and then took the lead,” explained Pettitt. Wood fell back but still well clear of Lewis Thompson who had recovered well from exclusion for an engine technicality during timed qualifying. Quinn admitted he was more intent on gathering points than risking a pass for the win.
