ADD Motorsports driver Martin Kodric was delighted with his lightning-quick driving in Round Five of the Super One Series. The 16-year-old finished top of the podium, proving too good and too fast for the rest of the field.
And after just a few weeks with ADD Motorports, he is already seeing huge improvements in his overall performances. He said: “I started really well and kept it going through the week.
“We were pretty fast so we’re really pleased.“But I felt a lot more confident going into my races, which really helped my performances.“I feel as though I’m improving all the time.”
Martin went into the competition with some quick times in testing and finished pole after qualifying. He led from the font in Heat One winning the race by 8 tenths and was second in the Heat Two.The first final saw a similar race to the first heat, with Martin leading from the front and maintaining the lead for the whole race to finish first.
He was leading the second final until the very last lap when he was pushed wide by a competitor.Although he ended in second place, he was then deservedly awarded the win when the other driver was given a five-place penalty for the push.He added: “I worked really well with my team this week and we were always trying to improve.“One of the biggest things I noticed was how much more calm I was before and during the races. “For the final I managed to stay totally calm and wasn’t nervous like I have been in the past.“It really helped my performance to be so confident and positive.“It was a great weekend and I’m looking forward to seeing how much I can keep improving.”
