Mixed Weekend for Forcefield Riders At Assen

The British Superbike Championship headed overseas at the weekend to Assen Circuit the Forcefield supported riders were being represented in the British Superbike and British Supersport classes; it was a mixed bag of results across the board. After switching teams mid-season Graeme Gowland has been showing good form but was unfortunate to test out the Forcefield kit over the weekend but was still able to secure 11th and 10th places respectively in the British Supersport class.Graeme Gowland - "I've been fortunate to not have to test out the Forcefield kit so much this season but that changed in Assen. I lost the front at 120mph and it was certainly quick, I was lucky enough to be able to get up and walk away thanks to the Forcefield protection!"Richard Cooper - "It was a great weekend for me and I was able to gain my first podium of the season in Assen. I didn't have to test out the Forcefield kit but as always was as comfortable as ever and thank them for their support this season."Bjorn Estment - "After a very challenging weekend at the fantastic Assen Motorsport Complex the weekend ended on a rather sad note with a small low side in turn one mid way through the feature race. As is standard with the protection from Forcefield gear I was totally unscathed and ready to bounce back and fight again at Silverstone. A big thanks to Forcefield and also my Appleyard Macadam Squad."Barry Burrell was unable to find a ride in the UK for the majority of the season but he made a welcome return at Cadwell Park and was able to gain his best results of the season so far in Assen with two tenth places.Barry Burrell - "It's been hard to come back into the Championship so late into the season with no testing or any real bike set up. We have made some progress in Assen and things are moving in the right direction, didn't have to test the Forcefield but the back and chest protectors felt snug to my body as always."
