Motors TV Weekend Highlights

After a six-week break the FIA European Formula 3 Championship resumes with its eighth event of the 2013 campaign at Zandvoort. Ferrari protégé Raffaele Marciello captured a stunning hat-trick of wins last time out at the Nurburgring, and the Italian could take a giant step towards the title with a strong showing this weekend. Felix Rosenqvist, Lucas Auer and Britain's Alex Lynn head the chasing pack. The Grand-Am season concludes at Lime Rock Park and Motors TV is on hand to bring you live coverage. The Wayne Taylor Racing duo of Max Angelelli and Jordan Taylor head the points, but reigning champs Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas aren't far behind ahead of what is Grand-Am's final race before merging with the ALMS.Continuing the endurance theme, on Sunday we'll have delayed action from the season-closing European Le Mans Series contest at French venue Paul Ricard. Like Grand-Am the ELMS has an ultra close title battle in store, with Signatech pairing Nelson Panciatici and Pierre Ragues sitting level with TDS man Pierre Thiriet. It's all to play for, but it would seem certain that a Frenchman will be celebrating come the chequered flag.Another week, another NASCAR Nationwide Series event, this time at Dover International Speedway. Sam Hornish and Austin Dillon have pulled away from the chasing pack in recent weeks, with the championship increasingly becoming a two-way battle. We've also got live coverage as the Superstars International Series heads to former grand prix circuit Imola. Past champions Gianni Morbidelli and Thomas Biagi travel to the event level atop the championship, though the former has now won five of the last six races. Can ex-F1 racer Morbidelli continue his fine form to seal a fourth series title? It's not just four-wheeled action, with Sunday's schedules dominated by the annual FIM Motocross of Nations. Taking place in the German town of Teutschenthal, the event will see Team USA looking to wrestle the title back from the host nation after the German squad took a stunning victory 12 months ago. And if that's not enough why not thrown in FIA GT action from Navarra, the never-a-dull-moment Supercar Challenge series and British F3 highlights from the Nurburgring to complete another jam-packed weekend of action on Motors TV.
