Round 8: Patriot Stages Rally, 29 September

Peter Lloyd took his second win of the season on the Patriot Stages, the penultimate round of the championship, after a ding-dong battle with Paul Bird.

This result keeps Bird in the title hunt along with Damian Cole and Steve Simpson. John Indri’s fourth place also puts him in the frame.

John Stone finished just two seconds behind Indri’s Darrian T90 GTR in fifth, while Gary Le Coadou and Paul Hollingham were sixth in their Toyota Corolla WRC. A grandstand finish is now on the cards for what has been the championship’s most competitive season in years.
