Round 6: Shenington Kart Racing Club, 29 September

Oliver York beat Alex Quinn to the title on a tie-break after two finals at Shenington in which the championship swung back and forth.

William Pettitt and York pushed clear of the field in the first final, but when York took the lead Pettitt was hung out to dry. That let Wood, Jonny Edgar and Ollie Caldwell ahead of Pettitt, with Quinn thinking it was all over for him in sixth.

In the second final Wood surged to the front but later dropped to fifth, while Pettitt took the win despite a quick exchange with York. Quinn’s third place left him level with York on points but he lost out on the tie-break.
