Drivers from the 2013 Auto One V8 Ute Racing Series – protected by ARMOR ALL, will once again pack the boots, blue singlet, big hat and the bundy for the Deniliquin Ute Muster, Friday 4th & Saturday, 5th October. The Deni event forms part of the yearly trek to Bathurst to compete at Round 5 of the Series as part of the Bathurst 1000 event.
This is the 6th year in a row that the V8 Utes have visited the great Aussie event, former AUSCAR Champion Kim “The Assassin” Jane will return for his 6th visit and is looking forward to the weekend.
“Deni always puts on a great show, it’s a great fit with the V8 Ute Series and I can’t wait to do a bit of line dancing to American country music legend Alan Jackson, - next to Johnny Cash he’s the best there is,” said Jane
New South Welshman Andrew “Fishtail” Fisher will make a return with his B&S decked out Jesus Racing Ute, (the former 2006 Championship winning BF race Ute) complete with bull bar, spotlights, whip aerials with Australian flags, truck mud flaps and lots of fun stickers, which he will again show off in the demonstrations prior to the Circle Work competition.
“It’s our third trip to the Ute muster and we thought it was time to bring out the big guns and bring along the real race car,” said Fisher.
Craig Dontas will bring his Thirsty Camel “Hump Machine” back at the Muster for the first time since 2011.
Rookie Jesse Dixon will make his first appearance at the event and is really looking forward to it.
“I’ve heard a lot about the Deni Ute Muster and I’m looking forward to getting my boots on. I think I’m down to commentate on the Holden Ute Barrel competition, so I’ll have to do my homework before I get down there,” said Dixon.
The V8 Utes will once again host a V8 Ute Lane, which will have V8 Ute Display’s, Driver Signing Sessions and competitions at the V8 Ute Chill-out Zone where you can refresh with Hawkei Water and get a fix of TapOut Energy Drink.
Drivers will also be at the opening Ceremony on Friday morning, (the official opening of the gates), and commentating in the Sports Arena.
Following the weekend, the drivers will then head to Round 6 of the Auto One V8 Ute Racing - protected by ARMOR ALL to compete at the Bathurst 1000 Event.
