Point for Johnny Blackshaw at Silverstone Superstock

Accident Advice Solicitors supported rider Johnny Blackshaw had another good weekend at round 11 of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship at Silverstone where he secured 15th place. Johnny only recently underwent surgery to relieve arm pump issues he has suffered with for years, after very successful surgery this was his first outing on a bike since the operation. The qualifying sessions went well and Johnny ended up qualifying in 21st place for the 10-lap race. He got a great start and had already made up several places by the end of the first lap and was sitting in 17th, he was locked in a tight battle with Robbie Brown and Adam Jenkinson. The trio fought to the end with Johnny gaining the final Championship point in 15th place.Johnny Blackshaw - "I didn't know how things were going to be this week as it's not been that long since I had the operation to sort my arm pump out. I was a little nervous on the first session but actually once I got going I felt great and I was actually really surprised at how good my arms felt all weekend. It was the first time this year where I actually could ride the bike properly and not have to be fighting with it and it made the weekend so much easier. I know it's late in the season but I feel like my season started at Silverstone and hope we can go to Brands and finish the year on a high note.I was locked in a really good battle during the race with Robbie and Jenko and we were dicing for positions. Jenko has been seriously helpful with me this season and has helped me to adapt to the 1000 Kawasaki and I didn't want to make any stupid moves on him as I'd like to see him win the Championship. It was good to be involved in the race with him as I was able to pick up some more information and each weekend I feel so much better on the bike. This year was always a learning year and hopefully it stands me on good ground for 2014.Once again I must thank Dan, Cliffy and my Dad for all the hard work that they put in every weekend and obviously my sponsors who without them it wouldn't be possibly for me to race especially Tamara and Dave at Accident Advice Solicitors."
