With the British Superbike season coming to a close and the penultimate round at Silverstone for the weekend the Forcefield supported rider all had a steady weekend. With rain on Friday several riders opted not to take to the track due to the fact the weather was supposed to improve as the weekend did. Race day was perfect weather conditions and the Forcefield riders all rode well and some were unfortunate to miss out on a podium position. The only podium of the weekend came from youngster Luke Hedger who rode a stunning race in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship and took a fantastic win and also the Championship lead. It wasn't without drama as Luke suffered a mechanical problem in the first lap of the race, the race was red flagged and his Gearlink Kawasaki team worked beyond their limits to fix his bike and allowed him to go on and win the race.Luke Hedger - "This weekend was great for me, in the space of an hour I thought my hopes of becoming Champion had vanished yet an hour and a half later I was winning the race. It was just mega, as always the Forcefield kit was brilliant the good thing about it, is that you forget you are wearing it so it's easy to just get out there and race."James Egan - "We had both wet and dry sessions at Silverstone and my Forcefield base layers worked perfectly in both conditions. I had a great weekend and secured my second best result of the season."Josh Wainwright - "It was a great weekend for me at Silverstone, I secured my first pole position in the Superstock 1000 class I had a great race and ended up fourth overall. My Forcefield kit was mega as always, thankfully I didn't have to test it out but comfortable as ever."
